In addition to some usual fatty acids, the seed oil ofJodina rhombifolia (Santalaceae) contains nine acetylenic fatty acids [9-octadecynoic acid (stearolic acid) (1.1%),trans-10-heptadecen-8-ynoic acid (pyrulic acid) (20.1%), 7-hydroxy-trans-10-heptadecen-8-ynoic acid (2.3%),trans-10,16-heptadecadien-8-ynoic acid (0.7%), 7-hydroxy-trans-10,16-heptadecadien-8-ynoic acid (0.1%),trans-11-octadecen-9-ynoic acid (ximenynic acid) (20.3%), 8-hydroxy-trans-11-octadecen-9-ynoic acid (12.2%),trans-11,17-octadecadien-9-ynoic acid (1.5%), 8-hydroxy-trans-11,17-octadecadien-9-ynoic acid (1.3%), 9-hydroxystearic acid (<0.1%) and 9,10-epoxystearic acid (0.7%)]. The fatty acids
have been analyzed by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry of their methyl ester and 4,4-dimethyloxazoline derivatives. The
hydroxy fatty acid methyl esters have been examined also as trimethyl-silyl ethers. Furthermore, the fatty acid methyl esters
(FAME) have been fractionated according to their polarity (FAME-A: nonhydroxy; FAME-B: hydroxy fatty acids) and to their degree
of unsaturation (FAME-A1/A2; FAME-B1/B2) by preparative thin-layer chromatography and argentation chromatography, respectively.
All of these fractions have been analyzed by ultraviolet and infrared spectroscopy, and the fractions FAME-A and FAME-B have
been analyzed further by nuclear magnetic resonance (1H,13C, 2D H/C, attached proton test) spectroscopy and gas chromatography/mass spectrometry.

The oxidative absorption of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) into a solution of ferric chelate of trans-1,2- diaminocyclohexanetetraacetate (CDTA) was studied in a counter-current laboratory column randomly packed with 15 mm plastic Ralu rings. The present investigation takes concern about the Kraft pulping situation where dilute H2S concentrations are omnipresent in large-volume gas effluents. A fractional two-level factorial approach was instigated to determine the significance of six operating variables, namely the solution's alkalinity (pH; 8.5-10.5), the liquid mass flow rate (L;1.73-), the solution's ionic strength (IC;0.01-), the gas mass flow rate (G;0.19-), the inlet H2S concentration (CH2S,0;70-430 ppm) and the initial ferric CDTA concentration (CFe,0;100 -). Initially, a Plackett-Burman design matrix of seven duplicated experiments revealed that pH is the leading factor controlling the H2S conversion rate while the ionic strength and ferric CDTA concentration effects remained negligible within the factorial domain. Surface response analysis based on 11 duplicated factorial experiments plus 10 central composite trials revealed that the H2S conversion significantly increases with liquid flow rate but decreases with growing H2S load up. Further examination about the influence of ferric CDTA on H2S absorption rate was set up over a broader concentration range (CFe,0;0- at pH of 9.5 and 10.5. It showed good potential at as H2S conversion increased by a significant 25% for both pH values in comparison to pure alkaline solutions containing no ferric CDTA. 相似文献

The transformations of a molecule containing two adjacent epoxide rings, 2,2-bioxirane that is, were studied over various acidic aluminosilicates (HZSM-5, HY-FAU, AlMCM-41), for the first time, In the 373–473 K temperature range, in a pulse reactor, a ring-opening–ring-enlargment reaction producing furan only occured over the zeolites and it was the predominant reaction on AlMCM-41 as well. The driving force of this transformation route is water formation via elimination from 2,2-bioxirane. The phase-separation behavior of poly(methyl methacrylate)/poly(α-methyl styrene-co-acrylonitrile) (PMMA/α-MSAN) blends with two different compositions was studied by time-resolved small angle light scattering (SALS) in the spinodal decomposition (SD) regime from 160 to 210 °C. The rheological function (WLF-like equation) was introduced into the processing of light scattering data. It was found that the WLF-like equation was applicable to describe the temperature dependence of apparent diffusion coefficient Dapp and the relaxation time τ of normalized scattering intensity (I(t)−I(0))/(Im−I(0)) at the early stage of SD, as well as the relaxation time τ of maximum scattering intensity Im and characteristic scattering vector qm with Im at the late stage of SD for PMMA/α-MSAN blends with two different compositions. The preparation of near stoichiometric spinel and alumina-rich spinel composites from Al2 O3 and MgO powders with the addition of Na3 AlF6 up to 4 wt% in the temperature range 700°–1600°C was studied; 98 wt% spinel containing 72 wt% Al2 O3 can be produced from the mixture of 72 wt% (50 at.%) Al2 O3 + 28 wt% (50 at.%) MgO powders with the addition of 1 wt% Na3 AlF6 fired at 1300°C for 1 h. Spinels containing 81–85 wt% Al2 O3 can be produced from either the mixture of 90 wt% (78 at.%) Al2 O3 + 10 wt% (22 at.%) MgO or the mixture of 95 wt% (88 at.%) Al2 O3 + 5 wt% (12 at.%) MgO powders with the addition of 4 wt% Na3 AlF6 in the temperature range 1300°–1600°C by using a torch-flame firing for 3 min, followed by quenching in water, while the same system under slow cooling in a furnace results in spinel containing 74–76 wt% Al2 O3 . Microscopic studies indicate that the alumina-rich spinel composites consist of a continuous majority spinel phase and an isolated minority corundum phase, regardless of slow cooling in a furnace or quenching in water. 相似文献

Carbon dioxide has been previously identified as a critical volatile factor that stimulates hyphal growth ofGigaspora margarita, a vesiculararbuscular mycorrhizal fungus, and we determined the optimal concentration at 2.0%. The beneficial effect of CO2 on fungal development is also visible in the presence of stimulatory (quercetin, myricetin) or inhibitory (naringenin) flavonoids. Sterile root exudates from carrot seedlings stimulate the hyphal development ofG. margarita in the presence of optimal CO2 enrichment. Three flavonols (quercetin, kaempferol, rutin or quercetin 3-rutinoside) and two flavones (apigenin, luteolin) were identified in carrot root exudates by means of HPLC retention time. In this study, multi-wall carbon nanotubes (MWCTs) is evaluated as a transducer, stabilizer and immobilization matrix for the construction of amperometric sensor based on iron-porphyrin. 5,10,15,20-Tetraphenyl-21H,23H-porphine iron(III) chloride (Fe(III)P) adsorbed on MWCNTs immobilized on the surface of glassy carbon electrode. Cyclic voltammograms of the Fe(III)P-incorporated-MWCNTs indicate a pair of well-defined and nearly reversible redox couple with surface confined characteristics at wide pH range (2-12). The surface coverage (Γ) and charge transfer rate constant (ks) of Fe(III)P immobilized on MWCNTs were 7.68 × 10−9 mol cm−2 and 1.8 s−1, respectively, indicating high loading ability of MWCNTs for Fe(III)P and great facilitation of the electron transfer between Fe(III)P and carbon nanotubes immobilized on the electrode surface. Modified electrodes exhibit excellent electrocatalytic activity toward reduction of ClO3−, IO3− and BrO3− in acidic solutions. The catalytic rate constants for catalytic reduction of bromate, chlorate and iodate were 6.8 × 103, 7.4 × 103 and 4.8 × 102 M−1 s−1, respectively. The hydrodynamic amperometry of rotating-modified electrode at constant potential versus reference electrode was used for detection of bromate, chlorate and iodate. The detection limit, linear calibration range and sensitivity for chlorate, bromate and iodate detections were 0.5 μM, 2 μM to 1 mM, 8.4 nA/μM, 0.6 μM, 2 μM to 0.15 mM, 11 nA/μM, and 2.5 μM, 10 μM to 4 mM and 1.5 nA/μM, respectively. Excellent electrochemical reversibility of the redox couple, good reproducibility, high stability, low detection limit, long life time, fast amperometric response time, wide linear concentration range, technical simplicity and possibility of rapid preparation are great advantages of this sensor. Mixtures of polystyrene and high density polyethylene were injection molded from recycled and virgin polymers to generate cocontinuous structures. The mechanical properties of these blends were evaluated to assess their conformance to rule of mixtures behavior in general and to identify areas of synergy or incompatibility in specific. Flexural and tensile data for recycled blends showed that generally the properties are not additive, except in a cocontinuous region of composition near 35/65 PS/HDPE that has been identified previously for recycled materials. Analysis of crystallinity in the HDPE phase of these blends by differential scanning calorimetry indicates a marked reduction in the level of HDPE crystallinity at the 35/65 PS/HDPE composition. Similar blends of virgin PS/HDPE polymer do not show the differing regions of incompatibility and synergy illustrated by the recycled materials, but rather show approximate conformance to the rule of mixtures. Furthermore, the virgin blends show virtually no crystallinity suppression and a more pronounced Tg shift in the polystyrene compared to recycled materials. Detailed characterization of the recycled materials in terms of polymer and particulate impurities should improve understanding of these differences and perhaps provide direction for obtaining enhanced synergistic behavior in virgin polymer blends. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
